The request was for assembled or refurbished PCs to keep the cost low, with the expected configuration being i5 10th/11th Gen, 8GB RAM, and 500GB SSD.
At 5 PM on Saturday, 28 December 2024, we received an urgent call needing two desktops to support office and accounting work at hospitals in Noida and Gurgaon.
The request
Two assembled Desktop PC –
Processor: i5 10th/11th Gen,
RAM: 8GB RAM, and
HDD/SSD: 500GB SSD
Rest we can choose.
Location: One in Gurgaon and the Other in Noida
The Challenge
The timing posed a significant challenge. It was a Saturday, and also year-end holiday mood has also set in. We tried to contact all our vendors, no one wanted to make any commitments for the weekend, and some even did not pick up our call.
Important Note: We source parts from various vendors to fulfil requests for assembled PCs.
With the urgency at hand, we had to share the quote using part prices from two weeks ago. This was far from an ideal situation, as market prices can fluctuate, especially in Delhi, India. We hoped the prices won’t change much.
But maybe they did, or the client got better prices anyway!
Couldn’t Close the Sale
Despite our best efforts, the sale didn’t go through, and the customer showed no interest in our quote.
A disappointing end, but I hope we will learn from the experience and move ahead.
Please comment to advise:
Is there still a way to convert this into a sale? Or, improve this situation.
P.S. We have spacial AMC offers for January 2025. If you’re in Delhi NCR, don’t miss out! We appreciate any thoughts or feedback you might have. Let’s discuss and find a way forward together.
