How we delivered a budget custom PC and earned a new project and 5 star ratings.

The Job: A customer contacted us for help with his 13-year-old PC. It was running on Intel Core 2 Duo, 3 GB DDR2 RAM and a 500 GB Seagate hard drive. The system had stopped booting and our diagnostics indicated that Hard Drive was to blame.

We gave him two options, replace Hard Drive or switch to an upgraded PC. We recommended the second option as the System was far beyond usable state and one by one most of its parts have been failing. Also, windows 7 isn’t supported by anyone anymore. It is also prone to bugs now and the current system is not right for Windows 10.

By the end of the day, the customer decided to go for the upgrade but wanted it to be within a tight budget. We also offered refurbished but he opted for a new assembled PC. Tech-Ad took the job and promised to deliver it the next day.

We recommended a single 8 GB RAM but the customer wanted 2 4GB sticks. As he thinks it will be more secure, if one fails other will continue working.

We used a Power Supply Unit, DVD Drive, Monitor, Keyboard and Mouse of his old PC.

Tech-AD delivered: Total Cost including OS and application installation, without monitor and peripherals, came to ₹ 14,000.00 and we were able to deliver it at 4 PM. It included 1 Year warranty from Tech-Ad.

What about the Data from his old PC?

Don’t worry that was our priority too. Part of the Hard Drive was still readable. We managed to take a backup using an external Hard Drive case.

By the time we left, we had our payment, a 5 star Google rating and a quote request for 2 CCTV installations.

The customer preferred Gigabyte Motherboards which was also our recommendation.
